Visualizing Unity
“Designing Our Shared Future” is an ongoing effort to promote and visualize unity between various cultures, ethnicities, demographics, and more. The design that came to be through the invaluable ideas and input of the affinity groups is intended to showcase how students can utilize the tools and resources they have on hand to collaborate and create a sense of unity. In a very unstable world, how can we support one another and stand together? This project is full of trial and error, learning and growing, and constant work to do better. This project does not represent a final solution, nor is it a complete piece. There is always more work that can be done — there are always more voices to be heard and included.

We extend a great amount of gratitude to all who contributed to the conceptualization, construction, and painting of the mural, whatever that may have looked like. This endeavor was a collective effort, and their invaluable input and participation were truly appreciated. Video edited by Hannah Caple.
